How should I prepare my script for submission?

First of all, proofread it. Clean up typos, grammatical errors and formatting problems. Register it with the WGA, put the registration number on the cover page, and then mail it to me wth a SASE. Depending on how busy my schedule is, I should get back to you in about a month after I receive your payment.

Will you read my script yourself, or will you have someone else read it?

I will read your script myself and give you notes (usually handwritten) on it. I will return it to you with a cover letter containing my overall thoughts.

May I follow up to discuss the notes you gave me?

Only if I tell you that you can.

How can I be sure that you will not use my characters, story or ideas?

Register your script with the Writers Guild before you send it. For legal reasons, I cannot read a script that is not protected, and I will not do so. Also, I have more than enough ideas of my own.

What if you really dislike my script?

Then I will tell you so as politely but as firmly as I can.

What if you really like my script?

Then I may choose to help you develop it further, with an eye toward preparing it for submission to agents and/or producers (including my own company). If I do so, it will be under terms of a written agreement about our professional relationship regarding the future of the project.

If you wish to submit your script I will read it and give you notes for a fee of $300.00, to compensate me for my time and work. Please follow this procedure:

After you have made your payment via PayPal, please mail me your script. Be sure to include a SASE. My mailing address is:

Once I am notified that your payment has been received, and I have received your script, it should take about a month for me to get back to you, depending on my schedule.
